Today we are going to get our marriage license. How stupid that we have to pay money to the state to get married. Anyway, we have to figure out when exactly Jon got divorced. You have to know the exact date. He doesn't recall.
I recall all too well. Although we had been separated for two years before that, mine was final on 9/13/04. I cried and cried the day my lawyer called to tell me I was officially unmarried.

I have SO been there.
Look at his divorce papers (my DH and I have kept all of that stuff, because, well, you never know when you might need it). If you don't have them, you can sometimes look up the divorce online (depending on the county/state where it was filed for).
I'm so glad we were married in Vegas. We picked up our license at midnight and were married the next morning. Took maybe 5 minutes to fill out the paperowkr. Bonus:Lots of interesting characters there at that hour looking to get hitched.

I was relieved it was all over but sad that it was all over....
