Tonight I talked to Jane, who decided to stay on at Tybee for a few extra days with my sister Betsy and the cousins. Apparently, Jane was stung quite dramatically by a humongous jellyfish this afternoon. She screamed so loudly and shrilly that a lifeguard came running to tend her, and other beachgoers gathered to see her swelled up sting.
Aunt Betsy said after her initial screams, Jane calmed right down and was brave and quiet. But it was big excitement.
Yet another reminder of our FABULOUS 2006 Tybee Island vacation.
Yee Haw.

At least you got to go on vacation.
Yeah, good reminder :-) Thanks. I will stop whining now. And I am indeed grateful, but should work on being more grateful.
Poor Jane; Are you staying up late working the election results at the station? Drink plenty of coffee, it seems to be close on several races. It might be a long night!
My daughter boogie boarded over a jelly this vacay - apparently pouring vinegar on the sting works wonders.
We live in a beach area with a crazy jellfish population. The result-- we carry meat tenderizer in the beach bag.
