But what about the laminate? Doesn't Our Lord go in for the laminate? I mean, that Pergo stuff is pretty nice...

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

I think what the proprietor is saying is this: Whatever you do for a living, wherever you go, whomever you are, be a living example of Christ's love. I don't know the establishment in your photo; But unfortunately some businesses use these type sayings to build trust in their business, and just as often the gimmick is a manipulation of the customer's trust.
I am not sure what you are stating by using this photo...Did you think it was funny? Were you offended? Do you have a problem with someone openly proclaiming their faith?
other anonymous..I agree with you....I think Katie finds anyone having faith of a conservative stripe to be amusing and an object of humor. just read her archives. its a great source of joke fodder for her.
as for the billboard I unfortunately agree with you...when business owners advertise their faith it often is an attempt to say "we have more integrity than the other guys" and unfortunately I have found that sometimes the opposite it true. and also a way to build business by appealing to other christians to choose a christian over someone else (now I KNOW that no other group ever does this...it is the exclusive province of evangelical christians....) I know nothing about this guy so I will not pass judgement on him in particular.
