I heard about that on NPR while driving to work this morning and thought "What the H*&# ??!!" Ok... that is REAL Christian-like, eh? Calling for someone's assassination???

two points. no actually three. first I am not a huge fan of Pat Robertsons. BUT I think this comment was probably somewhat tongue in cheek because apparently the guy has a serious paranoia complex that the US is trying to assassinate him. third...would you have been saying "real christian like" if we moved back a number of years and plugged in adolf hitler? our pastor gave a recent sermon about how people talk about how horrible the old testament is, God wiping out this one or that one but then they are also complaining that God does nothing about evil. (and remember how evil the societies were that God wiped out...sacrificing newborns, total sex orgies which children were expected to participate in..etc etc and so on down the line..)of course when God DOES do something about evil then well, he is just a bad guy. well...when you have an evil dictator what exactly do you do...go love on him a bit and hope he will get the message?
I think something that bleeding heart liberals miss is that there is real evil in the world...and its far far worse than a "lack of tolerance"...there are governments that just go around wiping out their own citizens etc etc etc...so what exactly do you do about it. somehow I dont think that an evil south american dictator will have a change of heart because our government knocks on his door and leaves a casserole with a nice note.
