Oh, I can imagine- I've already seen it as the parent of an eleven year old girl. At your private school, the kids whose parents are on the board are the ones who frequently get by with the attitude and behavior. The cyclical friend stuff is very common and poorly handled at most schools. The latest I heard about a school with a tough girl, the guidance counselor brought all of the gals together to speak generally of the problem. The tough gal dodged the discipline bullet & now knows she can just keep on keeping on. Maybe she wasn't singled out because she was the kid of a longtime board member?
