Back in the day (early-mid 1980s in rural Tennessee), the only videos my family owned were "Revenge of the Nerds" and "Muppets Take Manhattan." We had no cable TV - actually pretty terrible TV reception in general - and no video rental store within 25 miles, but we somehow ended up with a VHS machine and those two videos.

What to do but watch them ad nauseam? Yes, my siblings and I could quote from the original ROTN chapter and verse. We still do, to amuse one another at family gatherinegs (but only after the drinking games).

So I was saddened to hear that the "Revenge of the Nerds" remake that had inexplicably been planned has now inexplicably BEEN CANCELLED.

So, does this mean that I'm not the only person who, when hearing "Clap your hands" tacks on "everybody, and everybody clap your hands - we're Lambda Lambda Lambda AND Omega Mu"?

Great. I'm gonna be singing that all night now.

And I was so looking forward to seeing what Booger became...

I saw that movie in the theater the day of the opening of the 1984 Olympics. Egads, I'm elderly.

Our family loves that movie too! The final scene wins the award for best use of "We Are the Champions" ever. And John Goodman as Coach? Second only to Linda Tripp as the performance of his career.

jag, you're not the only one who tacks on the next couple lines of Lamar's rap. What about when someone asks, "What are YOU looking at?" :)
