I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

no you're not. ;)
Kate, you might want to set up an actual Amazon wish list. When you're viewing an item click the "Add to Wish List" button on the right. There's an option to enter your address, so it can be sent right to you (but your address is never displayed - Amazon does it all behind the scenes).
My wife and I have Amazon wish lists. Makes shopping for each other lots easier.
An electric griddle is much much better. You can regulate the heat better and it also allows you to cook on the stove while you're griddling.
The Black and Decker food steamer will be one of your best investments for $25. I cook veggies in this thing for my grandmother ALL the time. Talk about some yummy healthy eating!
I don't have an iPod either. And you'd think I would. When I had my stereo installed this summer, I insisted it have easy and convenient iPod hook-ups. When the radio guys finally got it installed in a way that was satisfactory for me, they said, "Well, where's your iPod? Let's hook it up and make sure it works ok." At that moment, I realized they didn't know I was just, you know, preparing for when I DO have one. Embarassed, I just said, I'm sure its fine, and left. My friend has since check it out and it works fine. Now, someone get me that iPod!!!
Check out the LeCreuset outlet in Georgia--you can mail order and thought they are slightly imperfect, I have never had a problem with items I've ordered and they are so much cheaper.
But, Kate, if you get an IPod, you'll (a) lose it (b) drop it in the bathtub (c) run over it. Jon - which will it be?
No, Katie, you're not the last person to get an iPod. I won't be getting one, because Apple manufactures them in sweatshops in China, where workers toil for 15-hour days for a monthly income of about $50.
Nope, no ipod here either.
if you're going for the iPod, a couple of suggestions:
They are way easier to work with on a Mac than a PC (duh).
Decide what you want it for - if it's music, then you may not want the full-size one with a color screen.
if you're going to work out, or run, or otherwise do physical activity with it - look at the nano (with a protective case!). Super light, super small, 2000 songs.
You can have a vast library of songs (I'm up to 5000) on your computer, and switch out the ones you want onto the Nano. It's easy.
If you have a big CD collection (you? no....), plan on dedicating a significant part of your life to getting everything from CD's onto your computer. It takes a while. Just copy the whole CD - it's not worth the hassle to pick a few songs, and memory is cheap/practically free. Also plan on having anywhere from 5-10% of your collection to have some sort of glitch, where the disc won't read or write properly. It will probably happen on your favorite discs, because you've played them so much.
iTunes is like crack.
Obama cannot win in '08, and I'll tell you why--The average Joe will associate his name and skin color with being a radical muslim.
Of course, this isn't the case, but America isn't ready for an African-American (or female) President.
LeCreuset is a high quality product and pretty to look at ,but way too heavy to work with.Do you have any pieces or is this just something that you think you want?
The PRADA bag looks like it might be a knock off-price seems too low!

LeCreuset - heavy heavy heavy. Pick something else.
I'm not fond of LeCreuset either for the same reason--weight.
I also don't have an iPod. Life is too interesting to walk around plugged into your own dreams all the time.
Are you turning into a Foodie?seems like a kitchen-heavy list for someone who doesn't cook :-)
I don't have an ipod, don't intend to. I guess I just don't understand why people think they need to be listening to music all the time. Enjoy some silence sometime, I say.
