For the past week, while I've been sick and whiny and depressed and just basically a big mess, my lovely and wonderful husband has taken excellent care of me, the house, the kids, the dogs, etc, etc, etc. He's pretty much perfect. No, I'm serious. I cannot believe my good luck in having ended up married to this amazing man. He is calm and sweet and stoic and funny and clever and gracious and just an all-around great guy. I cannot believe he puts up with me.
If you sat down and made a list of all the things that one would want in a great husband and father, the list would look like Jon.
I am so lucky. So are my children.
Even our dogs are lucky. Because frankly, they are pretty annoying dogs and Jon rarely complains about them ;-)

And, Katie, he is lucky to be married to smart and funny and eloquent and lovely YOU.
Just wait until the hot flashes start...
So sweet!
most people ARE on their good behavior in the beginning of the marriage.

Most, but not all. You obviously weren't around in the first year or two of kate's first marriage. Suffice it to say that she deserves to revel in how wonderfully Jon treats her. He's a keeper and we are so thrilled he is in her life. We all feel lucky to have him around.
I'm so happy for you! It's wonderful when your home and family are a haven of peace in this world, where you feel valued and cared for, and can love in return.
It is very refreshing to see how happy you are.I wouldn't doubt that Jon feels as strongly about his love for YOU and everything that you continue to bring to his life. It's sad,but some people just love to see other people unhappy (just like the miserable bastards that THEY are!)Remember to keep loving each other with all of your might, stay positive, overlook the small stuff and everything will be more than just okay.
