Target also bans Salvation Army Red Kettles from their property at Christmas.

I love love love Target and always have. My dad is a relatively new Target pharmacist and says they treat the employees wonderfully. He worked for Eckerd Drug for about 25 years, and then was recruited to Walgreens before ending up at Target. He says its the greatest place. When he was hospitalized for heart surgery shortly after becoming employed there, they bent over backwards to help and to ensure he had a job whether it was 4 or 40 hours a week, whatever he needed.

And that's a bad thing? I hate it when there is someone begging at the Walmart door 365 days a year.

Target only bans the salvation army because they can't say YES to every charity that wants to beg for money on their doorsteps.

I think Wal Mart is a behind this bad mouth campaign started to discredit Target. Target does not affect our national economy or health care system, and the way companies manufacture goods world wide as Wal-Mart does.

I read in yesterday's business section of the NYTimes that wall-mart is shopping around for new advertising agencies and looking to change their image to go after Targets more upscale customer. Wal-Mart is so desperate to get into the NYC metropolitan area and insanely jealous of Targets ability to break into urban areas in NYC without the hassle of community resistance that Wal-Mart receives

My, my what a bunch of scrooges. Bah - Humbug.
The Red Kettles have been an American tradition at Christmas for a hundred years. 99% of Americans feel that it not Christmas without the Red Kettle and bell. Scrooge !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shame on you.

I don't know anyone that would say bad things about the Salvation Army. But, as another poster said, if you allow one, you can't discriminate. So you get people at Walmart solciting donations for a "mission" trip to the Bahamas or whatever.
