happy mother's day

Three years ago on Mother's Day, I wa sreally broke and couldn't afford to buy my mama anything. So instead I wrote THIS FOR HER.

Now I put it online every year around Mother's Day.

This year, I also sent her somethin' nice, because I'm slightly less broke ;-)

cool... I got this idea from some online friends over a year ago to do a similar thing--writing "thank yous" on slips of paper. Fifty-two of them! And package them realllly pretty and give to mom with the instructions to read one a week.

I finally did it this year. It was fun to think of all the things.

For a mom with children of any age, this is the nicest most treasured gift, like those little handprints and popsicle stick trivets you keep forever. Every mom, I suspect, wishes she could go back and do things differently. This eases those "I wish I had" pangs.
