If the Bugaloos had been hyper-patriotic...

This is something you need to watch. Take my word for it.

Imagine Nigel from Spinal Tap getting all, "I love America and my head would look better displayed in a brandy snifter" ...in a video... produced by Sid and Marty Krofft.

It's just that good.

Enjoy.

you know what...I am not quite sure I have ever encountered anyone quite so enamored of themselves and thier own viewpoints as you Granju. I couldnt totally see the video because I really didnt want to sit around for ten minutes while the thing loaded but from the drift I could get what the hell is wrong with people fighting for our country? you have the right to sit around and print whatever drivel you want because people died for you, apparently you dont appreciate it. why dont you just move up to Canada so we can be rid of you? I admit I have mixed feelings about whether this particular war was neccessary but maybe it is. I have my doubts that a lot of things that may have been honest mistakes (which I know YOU have never made Katie, nope not you) wind up presented in the media as deliberate intents to decieve. huge difference. I dont honestly feel qualified to sit back and decide what we should or should not be doing. I happen to have couple of friends who have sons over there risking thier heinies so priveleged morons like you can sit around and bitch about our country while they meanwhile live a pampered life in same said country. I get deeply offended when idiots such as you find it neccessary to turn anything even remotely patriotic into an opportunity for nasty humor. Ann Coulter has NOTHING on a liberal, any liberal, on a roll.

I am sorry people feel they need to personally insult you on your blog. To disagree is one thing but to resort to juvenile namecalling is another, without even viewing the subject of the post, sheesh. And why is it, do you think, that the trolls can never freaking spell anything correctly? It seems to be universal. I enjoy your writing and hope you don't let the idiots deter you from continuing it.

uh, I think I spelled quite a bit correctly. and if I missed a word or two thats really sort of dodging the issue. and if you read my post (which it appears you either are incapable of OR you deliberately chose to misunderstand)..I got the gist of what the song was about by visiting the website but the entire file was a big pain to download so I didnt. waaah for poor Katie. too bad if people insult her opinions. she apparently has absolutely no problem wtih insulting anyone she does not agree with. she chooses to shoot of her keyboard about just about any subject under the sun and she seems quite smug in her right to do so. in just about any medium that will accept her words. if she cannot take people replying, perhaps angrily, then maybe she should go back to waiting tables or shoveling out horse stalls rather than taking a job which invites people to disagree with her. along those lines I cannot believe that someone engaged in a custody battle would be so unbelievably stupid as to air the trasgressions of their spouse in not only a newspaper, but a newspaper read nationwide. yeah, thats gonna make the guy take it up a notch, ya think? this woman appears to have her head up a particularly orifice of hers and she has surrounded herself with so many like minded people that she cant see the forest for the trees.

I'm not sure why it's so hard for blog trollers to understand the concept of blogs.
IT IS A FORUM FOR THE WRITER'S THOUGHTS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU READ, DON'T VISIT THE SITE.
It's that simple.
Isn't life too short to keep going back to read something that offends you? Does this anonymous reader spend hours and hours of his or her time surfing for "liberal" writings on the internet?
And besides, if the troll had bothered to watch the video, he or she might have found that completely apart from its patriotic theme, the video and song are mindblowingly cheesy and hackneyed and worth a look strictly on those merits....although this troll probably has no sense of humor whatsoever and wouldn't appreciate the campiness at all.

however I betcha if it was Micheal Moore and his uber liberal buds who put together an incredibly cheesy video that Katie wouldnt be sniggering about it. .....
as for hours online. nah. mostly I do other stuff. this is really the only blog I read just for the entertainment value..well maybe one other. if theres anyone wasting enormous amounts of time online it aint me. I see a lot of evidence that there are people that I wonder just how much of an offline life they must have based on the enormous amounts of output they have. I am following her little custody story because after the way she used to go off like a loaded gun on anyone on the old AOL parenting boards who had dared not breastfeed or challenged her about cosleeping, etc etc...I cannot think of a more fitting comeuppance for her than being accused of being an unfit mother. even though the label probably doesnt fit (aside from her fanaticism over things that matter not and the probably she has transmitted some of her worldview to her children) what goes around comes around and , after the amount of guilt she has attempted to inflict over the years on people who do not subscribe to some of her ideas, accusing them of, well, of all but being unfit mothers....well..you know what...this is just about the most cosmic justice thing I could think of happening the only thing preventing me from seriously hoping she completely loses her kids is that it probably would be horrible for them, for Katie however I cannot think of anything that would be more satisfying. to be honest, I hope her husbands lawyers grill her about everything. I hope they string her up by her toes. and I hope they bring they her attachment parenting practices into it. because it would serve her right. although I am sure that rather than taking her medicine like a big girl and realizing that this might be how some people felt after being inundated by "attachment parenters", she will wring out every drop of "gimme pity" that she can out of it in every national publication that will take her.

Oh anonymous! Call me a bad mother, a terrible writer, a naughty housewife - whatever, but please, please don't question my patriotism!

PS: I am actually notably patriotic, a la Paul Wellstone.

In addition to having a rather remarkably underdeveloped sense of humor, you don't know what you are talking about with regards to my political and social views.

And I luuuuuuuv the brothers Krofft.

undeveloped sense of humor eh? and yeah, I AM questioning your patriotism. move to Canada if you dont like it here. no you DO like it here..you like to reap the benefits of peoples actions that you would deplore. you like the freedom to sit around and bite the hand that feeds you. it sort of reminds me of John Lennon bitching about money and belongings etc etc all the while holed up in the lap of luxury. I didnt see him clipping coupons and living in a doublewide and giving the remainder to the poor. hypocrisy in action...
