Molly and Polly are both nicknames for Mary.

If I really wanted to call my child one of these, I'd name her Mary and then use the nickname.

Not that it matters, but I like:

Thomas
Samuel
William
Anderson
Jonathan (call him Jack)
Charles (Charlie)

Georgia
Charlotte
Mary
Louisa

Theo makes me think of The Cosby Show, Harris just sounds veddy veddy British. I agree with Clisby about Molly and Polly - both my friends named Molly are actually Marys.

I still like Anderson a lot because of your family tie there.

But now that you've posted this new list - I LOVE the idea of Jonathan and calling him Jack. That's another name that seems to fit right into the rest of your brood, and naming him after Dad like that - yes, I think that would be GREAT.

Ezra...you've got to be kidding. Sounds like someone's old hillbilly pappy.

I liked the name Tobias up until I started watching Arrested Development. So if you go with that one, NEVER watch that show--and don't let your child watch it either!

After reading about Ezra Pound recently, I wouldn't afflict anyone with the name of that lunatic. Pound was a supporter of Mussolini, an anti-semite, and an advocate of racial segregation in the American South.

Metro Pulse had an article a while back about the part Mussolini played in inspiring the bombings and riots in Clinton, TN during the de-segregation era.

Seriously. Not a nice guy to name a child after.

I'm still voting for Eugene.

Agree with Megan. If you've ever seen AD, I don't think it would be on your list. Not that I don't like David Cross . . . .

I have a 14 yr old Clara Grace - love the name - it wasn't very popular at all when she was born. We have only met one other Clara around her age and it was when she was around 2 yrs old. Good luck with your decision.

Oops. That should be "the part Pound played".
