I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

From an older woman I worked with at Fort Sanders Hospital years ago:
"When you come to a crossroads in life and you can't decide which path to take, stay where you are until you're sure which direction to take."
This advice has helped me numerous times, but it's also left me sitting on the fence for quite a while, too.

Make sure to answer your e-mails. If someone has taken the time to write to you personally, respond, even if it's just an acknowledgment.

"Twenty Years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do then by the ones you did do".
This is an abbreviated quote by Mark Twain that changed my life when I was feeling indecisive.
When people are angry, they sometimes say things they can never take back. (courtesy of my mother)
I don't remember the exact quote but it was something like, People won't remember what you said or did they will remember how you made them feel.
