So we've stopped trying to be Madonna and have moved on to emulating Demi Moore. If there's one thing you can say about Britney, it's that nothing she does is original.

Demi did this pose first, and thank goodness she did, because before that, pregnant women weren't allowed to feel sexy or beautiful in public. Demi's pose in Vanity Fair even changed what maternity clothes look like - much for the better.

I don't care that other women have posed nude while pregnant. All I'm saying is that she looks amazing and beautiful. They are gorgeous photos.

I agree that these are great photos of Britney. Way to go, Brit, showing the world that pregnant can be beautiful too. BUT! Let's remember her Dateline interview and how skanky and dirty she looked WITHOUT the zillion dollar clothes, makeup, hair stylists, photographers, airbrushing. This isn't an accurate deptiction of what pregnancy looks like.
No matter what clothes her handlers make her wear and no matter how much airbrushing she gets and no matter how much makeup she puts on, she's still just a very lucky little hayseed girl who is painfully immature.

But what bothers me is that in her Matt Laur interview she kept comparing herself to other "stars". She mentioned Demi, Julia Roberts etc. It's as if she has NO CLUE who Britney is. I think she needs to take a break and find out who she is. To me she is a sad person.

I agree that she seems to be floundering.

My impression of what I caught via YouTube clip is that she is depressed.

I do think the darker hair flatters her, and agree that she looks great in the linked to photos.

WOW! She is so beautiful! My girlfriend even wants to "DO" her.

I think pregnant ladies were allowed to feel however they wanted, Ms. Moore notwithstanding...no?

She looks like a goddess in the picture with her son.

I like that she is not an anorexic pregnant celebrity.

I think that she shold cover up. She is in the family way for heavens sakes! My husband would wack me a good lick if I showed my private areas to the world like that.

Dawn,
She makes a living showing off her body.

I find it interesting that she choose an emasculated financially unsuccessful man to marry, No one bosses her around telling her what she can and cannot show or do.

She does look beautiful in those photos, air-brushed, make-up artists or whatever.

I agree with Dawn that the display is tawdry. God does not condone such displays. Women should be respectful of the life they are carrying and of their husbands.

LOL! The Middle Ages has spoken!

Britney is a mule in a horse's harness, no matter how you dress her up or airbrush her off. However, if we're talking about respect, how about that knuckle-dragging, rap-screeching, staying-out-all-night and spending-her-money husband? Frankly, I don't think he deserves much respect, and she certainly would be nuts to check in with him if she wanted a well-thought out and sane opinion on her plans.

Are Linda and Dawn real people?

How do you know Lydia is middle aged? Anyway, even though she made fun of my trailer, I think she is right about naked ladies in the family way getting put on magazine covers.

Dawn,
Learn your history!
He wrote Middle Ages.
Not that you are middle aged!!!

Yes, anonymous and Mamalife, obviously her stylist needs a standing ovation for transforming her gum-smacking, flip-flop and cut-off wearing self into this glossy haired, clear skinned image.

He did an excellent job with the makeup especially - her face looks gorgeous and naturally enhanced. If only he could come help her out everytime she left the house, maybe the paparazzi wouldn't have so much fun with her.

After seeing her Matt Lauer interview, I belive, Britney needs-a stylist, advisor, mentor, mother, advisor, big sister, advisor, SOMEBODY to give this stupid young woman a clue on how to act...she is losing it and will soon have two young children-and a husband-to raise.

Do you think that I am less real than you because I am Latino?

Get over yourself, Lydia. No one is attacking your ethnicity.

Anonymous said...

Lydia, why do you keep pointing out that you're Latino (actually, since you're female, the term should be Latina)? Is this suppose to make you special? In any of the posts where you've mentioned this, race hasn't been the topic. I don't know why you're making ethnicity an issue.

Mira! I say Latino woman rather than Latina. More Anglos can relate. The reason that I often mention my ethnicity is that this is the perspective that I come from and we all have one. I am a strong Latino woman. I am proud of this. I like to tell people about it. It makes me feel good and it helps open minded people understand me and my family.

I know why she has to keep making ethnicity an issue, dedeeann.

It's because Lydia's an uptight, insecure FREAKAZOID.

Oh, sorry, I mean, an uptight, insecure LATINO FREAKAZOID.

We all have our own ethnicities and perspectives - duh! - but nobody needs to hear about it if it doesn't fit into the discussion. Do I feel compelled to share that I am of Scottish-Cuban descent, and am as gay as a lark? No, I do not!

I am confused. Is your name Lydia or La Tina?
