Yes, terrible. I had to walk 25 blocks this morning.
Yes, it sucks! I am pro-union, but the union is hitting poor people hard with this. They cannot afford cabs and it's freezing and they may not be able to keep their jobs if they cannot get to them.
I actually had a simple but adventuresome commute. Carpooled from Brooklyn to 17th & Park then walked up to Third Ave in the 50s. It's too cold and I'm not doing it again tomorrow, just going to start vaca a day early, but it could have been much worse. I was an hour early to work and I'm leaving as soon as I get all my ducks in a row here, no telling how long it'll take to get home.
In this particular fight it's hard to be pro anyone. Both sides have been stupid and they're punishing the riders, who have no say in the negotiations whatsoever. If you'll pardon the technical term it's a clusterfuck.
