What's this, the ninth time ANWR drilling has been defeated since Bush took office? How about every time from now on one of the oil-whore Congressmen attaches a drilling rider to an unrelated bill and it gets defeated, he has to sit out for a year, and his team plays a man short.

Yeah, super. That's great. More reliance on Middle East oil, plus the added bonus of ridiculously expensive natural gas, the cleanest form of energy in the world. what a victory. sigh.

Those really aren't the only options: Middle East oil or natural gas.

Oh, I know, let's get a gas/electric hybrid! Or a ZEV, which runs exclusively on electricity (which, in the South, comes mostly from burning coal (yay!) or from hydroelectric (dams, which kill rivers and wildlife habitats! Super!). Or from natural gas- oh, never mind.

What would be your suggestion? More sweaters?
