a rant
Okay, I know this is a very common complaint, but I'm going to make it anyway: what's with the Christmas decorations already up all over my neighborhood? It's only November 6, for goodness sake. I took a long walk this morning and it was just really incongruous to see all the gorgeous fall leaves still mostly on the trees and then run across ayard with a huge plastic creche in it. I think that there should be a rule: no Christmas decorations until the trees are bare.

One of our neighbors put up his Christmas lights this weekend and I was like "What the heck??!!" I think not until after Thanksgiving (here in Florida the leaves never fall from the trees!) (Um, and interesting spam comment there! LOL!)
yeah. bugs me too. I mean its not even a week after HALLOWEEN and here are people down the street stringing up lights and positioning blow up snowmen on their lawn. I thought it was maybe cause we got snow last night and they figured better get it up before the weather gets too bad but apparently its a national phenomenon....
